Skip Size Guide

Size really is everything.

Unsure About Sizing?

When you’re looking for Skip Hire in Grimsby, the first thing people ask is which size works best for me. As we’ve been delivering skips in Grimsby and the surrounding areas for 40 years, there’s not much we haven’t seen when it comes to squeezing waste into skips.

To better assist you with your choice of skip size, we’ve created a handy guide giving further information on the sizes of each skip. Take a look below and don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any queries.

Please note, our skips are manufactured by different companies, so dimensions may differ to those estimated below.

Little Mini (2 Cubic Yards)

It might be the smallest member of our skip family, don't be fooled by the Little Mini as this skip is a bit of a Tardis! Able to hold approximately 25 bin bags, you'd be surprised at the amount you can fit into this little beauty.
Ideal for clearing out general household clutter, but also the perfect option for loading up with soil, rubble, wood and general garden waste.

The Mighty Midi (4 Cubic Yards)

Little Mini's bigger brother is the Mighty Midi - the most popular skip in our range. With a capacity of 45 to 50 bin bags, this is a versatile skip serving all needs from garage and shed clear-outs right through to kitchen rip-outs and everything in between.
Mighty Midis are available with doors on request, which is handy for anyone needing to load up the skip with heavy materials such as soil and rubble.

The Super Six (6 Cubic Yards)

Our Super Six bridges the gap between the Mighty Midi and the Great Eight. Most people would recognise this size as a traditional builders' skip, holding between 75 to 80 bin bags and so it packs quite a punch!
Not for the faint-hearted, you can get some serious junk in this bad boy, no matter what you require for removal.

The Great Eight (8 Cubic Yards)

The daddy of all skips is our Great Eight, and it's called great for good reason. Able to hold approximately 100 bin bags, this skip is perfect for whole house building projects as it can take any kind of waste you can think of.
Due to its size, the Great Eight isn't suitable for loading full of soil as even with our largest vehicle we'd be overweight when taking it away!
